Substance Abuse

The Piscataquis Public Health Council (PPHC) is engaged in three important objectives related to substance use:
- Reducing alcohol use among youth
- Reducing high risk drinking among adults
- Reducing the misuse of prescription drugs.
PPHC works closely with:
- Schools to increase the effectiveness of school substance abuse policies,
- Businesses to increase awareness of health risks of high risk drinking among employees.
